As of December 1st 2011, the government of Canada has introduced the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa. The Super Visa will allow you access into Canada for a total of 10 years without having to renew your visa while letting you remain in Canada for a maximum of 24 months at a time. This new program will enable the Super Visa holders the convenience of not having to go through the immigration process over and over again within a certain period of time.

This will also help the Canadian government become more efficient when it comes to immigration matters because they will not have to spend time on routine paperwork that would have otherwise tied up resources and prolonged wait times for other applications.
